SKUKUZA REST CAMP

Skukuza Rest Camp is located in southern Kruger National Park on the banks of the Sabie River and offers a number of self-catering accommodation options. More information on the accommodation option and the camp can be found here. All Units/Bungalows are 1 Bedroom with either 2 or 3 beds. Accommodation for the congress only available for check-in from 15 September to check-out on 18 September, or within these dates. (All accommodation in the Rest Camp is self-catering; rates are inclusive of VAT and exclusive of the Daily conservation levies, payable to SANParks upon entry or at the reception on arrival. IMPORTANT: A 50% deposit will be required to hold accommodation. Full payments for accommodation at Skukuza Restcamp MUST BE MADE BEFORE 1 July 2026. After this date all the accommodation bookings will be released and delegates will to book on their own or book hotel accommodation.
Delegates are advised not to delay booking accommodation as the Skukuza Restcamp is popular year-round, and accommodation may be sold out at any time after the group accommodation bookings are released. Skukuza Hotel offers more luxurious accommodation than the rest camps with a private pool, gym, bar and restaurant on site. More information on the hotel can be found here: https://skukuzalodge.com/ The hotel offers 91 standard rooms, 22 family rooms, 7 universally accessible rooms (wheelchair-friendly), and 8 luxury suites.
Fly to Skukuza (SZK)
Airlink offers flights directly to Skukuza (SZK) but flights are in high demand and delegates are advised to book early.
Avis and Europcar are the car hire service providers at Skukuza airport providing car hire and point 2 point shuttle service between Skukuza Airport and Skukuza Main Camp.
IMPORTANT: Please note that the Kruger Mpumalange Airport (KMAI) is located about 27 km northeast of the city in Mbombela and situated by raod 2,5 hours from Skukuza. You might require an overnight stay if you make use of this option.
Take a Road Trip
For a more adventurous option, hit the road to Skukuza and make the journey part of your experience. It takes 6 hours to drive from Johannesbrg to Skukuza Rest Camp on the N12 via Nelspruit (465 km).
important information
SANParks strictly enforces gate closure times. If you arrive after the gate has closed or do not have adequate time to travel to the Camp, you will not be permitted entry. In such cases, you will need to secure alternative accommodation outside the Park at your own cost. The main roads in the Kruger National Park (between the Gates and Camps) are tarred, allowing for a comfortable self-drive experience. The closest gate to Skukuza Rest Camp is the Paul Kruger Gate, situated 12km from the camp.
